Brand new OEM and blueprinted units are available. The 525 steering box is a stout unit that has withstood the test of time. GM started producing this box in the 50’s and still uses versions of it for production vehicles today. The 525 steering box is available with a 1”or a 3-1/2” long input shaft with 16:1 or 24:1 steering ratios. All steering boxes have a 3-year warranty. Reversed boxes are also available.

Direct Replacement Power Steering Boxes

Mullins offers a bolt-in power steering conversion box for the 1955-1957 Chevy’s. This box is based on the new 600 series steering gear from Delphi. This box is a direct bolt-in application using the stock mounting location and Pitman arm. Use of a replacement column shaft, aftermarket column or modified stock column is required. This box uses an 8DD connection for the input ashaft. A custom floor mount, which is required to support the column, is available with a polished or unpolished trim ring. If the car had factory power steering, the drag link must be replaced with one from a manual car or we offer a drag link adapter. All Mullins steering boxes have a 3-year warranty.

 

Remanufactured OEM Saginaw 700 variable ratio boxes are available. Enjoy the Benefits of a quick ratio for easy parking and low speed cruising, plus the benefit of a slower ratio for highway driving. Outside frame mount truck boxes also available. All Mullins steering boxes have a 3-year warranty.

 

Mullins offers a bolt-in power steering conversion box for the 1958-1964 Chevy’s. This box is based on the new 600 series steering gear from Delphi. This box is a direct bolt-in application using the stock mounting location and Pitman arm. A 16” long splined shaft and 736X6DD universal joint are required for installation with a stock column. If the car had factory power steering, the drag link must be replaced with one from a manual car or we offer a drag link adapter. All Mullins steering boxes have a 3-year warranty.

We offer a brand new Delphi 600 box. It is available with 3 ratios and has the same mounting pattern as a standard 1960-1990 GM box.

Our new Bronco Box is a 14:1 Ratio with approximately 3.5 turns lock to lock. The input shaft is a 11/16”-36 spline and the box uses 14mm

and 16mm flare hose fittings. The box fits the stock factory pitman arm and ships with 4 bolts & washers The box bolts to the frame in stock location with 3 bolts and a 4th can be drilled and used for extra strength. Made in the USA with a 3 year 36,000 Mile warranty.
